The owner aims to offer guests an extension of her home, to have a taste of pure Roman life style.Enjoy sitting on the living room sofa, gazing out of the windows at the ochre-colored façade of the princely Palazzo Torlonia, which is so beautifully illuminated at night. From the windows guests can follow the comings and goings at the Hotel d’Inghilterra; browse the shops windows as they step out the front door on their way to have a cappuccino at Caffè Greco, just a few yards away in the historical via Condotti; buy fresh fruit at the farmers markets in via Bocca di Leone or via Tomacelli, bread and crispy pizza right out of the oven of the F.lli Fabbi gourmet shop in via della Croce.Guests will feel like they’re living in their own home with all the comforts they are used to… plus a little bit more: they have all the utilities of a comfortable home with the special pleasure of being hidden from the public eye. This elegant apartment is 1900 square feet on the second floor and it is composed of three bedrooms (two of them with closet and en suite bathroom) and three bathrooms. It can accommodate up to 7 people. There is the opportunity to connect this apartment to an equally beautiful 2BR/2BA apartment. Togetehr both apartments can accommodate up to 12 people. The floors tiled throughout with lots of large mirrors reflecting images and light creates a nice sense of space. In the entry hall you find a 19th century large mahogany Imperial style sideboard coming from the owner's ancestral home in Puglia. From the large hall, you can access the living room to the right and to the left the hallway which leads to the laundry, kitchen, small bathroom, small bedroom and the second large bedroom with en-suite closet and bathroom. The hallway has floor to ceiling French doors that open over a railing onto the internal courtyard. It is a great way of bringing in cool breeze and the warm Roman weather.Four large windows light the living room, overlooking the street towards Spanish Steps, Hotel d`Inghilterra, and Palazzo Torlonia. The warm ochre of the palace is enhanced by its elaborate marble window frames. At night the palace glows but doesn`t glare into the windows of the apartment creating a relaxing atmosphere. Two white large sofas and two armchairs are grouped by the working fireplace featuring stonework from the owner's ancestral home in Puglia. The hand-hewn ceiling beams have been exposed to display the room as it was originally designed. A sparkling chandelier hung with Bohemian glass. Here you find some fine antique pieces, such as a sideboard, a desk and a long dining table that will seat eight. The huge Persian carpet, the gold-leaf frames of the mirrors and the paintings create an elegant environment. There is a television with satellite reception and a DVD player that can read American and European format DVDs.1st bedroom: next to the living room is the master bedroom with a queen size bed. Here are two comfortable armchairs, a 19th century Neapolitan desk and a large Persian rug which gives a feeling similar to that of the living room and Neapolitan watercolors on the wall. The en suite closet area is great with spaces for stowing your suitcases and open shelves and rods that keep your items in view. The closet leads to a bathroom with a tub equipped with fixed shower head as well as hand-held one.Entering the hallway you find on your left a nook containing washing machine and hot water tank, on your right the kitchen that has a four burner stove top, oven, dishwasher, small refrigerator/freezer, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, dishes, flatware and pots and pans.2nd bedroom: is the smallest one. It has a single bed, a small table, a lamp, plus a second large single bed with safety rails on a sleeping loft. There is a light mounted on the wall in the loft, handy for reading at night. The loft is accessible by a ladder.Directly across the hall is a bathroom with a small shower that can be used by the small bedroom guests.3rd bedroom: is a large bedroom, there are two twin beds that can be made up together as a king. A large French window opens onto a long balcony overlooking a large internal courtyard. The dressing and closet area is well thought out for you with space to stow luggage and open shelves and rods for clothing and cupboard with shelves. The closet area leads to a bathroom with a large step in shower, a WC and a sink with good countertop space. There is also a large safe.Light housekeeping every other weekday except holidays.
